 This is A-Dawg typing.

I'm home...finally.

A few hours ago I was released from my mission.

Wowzers. No puedo creer.

I suppose I can take this opportunity to share my...little travel ordeal.

This is my little traveling party. We all completely our two-year (18 months for the sister missionaries) mission in Uruguay. On Wednesday we came to the mission home with all our stuff...

It took me forever to sort out my luggage.

We ate dinner together. Yum.

We got on our plane Thursday evening in the airport in Montevideo...

It was a nice flight...

That's a nice little night shot over Montevideo.

Our first flight was to Buenos Aires. When we got there, the place was all fogged up. They had zero visibility. We had to sit in the plane for four hours, just to wait for them to send a bus to take us out. When we arrived to the airport, they informed that our flight had been canceled. In fact, all the flights had been canceled. They closed down the whole airport! We were...stranded.

Dang. We had nowhere to go for the night...so we slept the same way our fellow travelers...

On the floor! With our backpacks as pillows! It was even more uncomfortable than it looks.

Ouch.

Anyways, on the morrow, we were rescued by a Church travel agent who helped us reschedule our flights, and took us down to the Argentine MTC:

We have our own in Provo, Utah. This is the MTC for the latino missionaries serving in the Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina.

This is like their world map.

They gave some nice little rooms:

Just like our MTC.

I ate lunch with some cool latino missionaries!

Buen provecho!

This coolest thing about the Buenos Aires MTC, is that it's right next to...

The Argentina Temple!!!

We were allowed to do a session Saturday morning:

It was awesome.

That same evening, I took a flight from Buenos Aires to Miami, then Miami to Atlanta...which is where I met with my parents. We drove up to the stake center in Augusta, where I was released by my stake president:

My mission is over. I'm a returned-missionary. Wow.

Welcome back, Alex!! So that's why things got delayed with your flights. That's so cool you got to see the MTC down there and the temple. At least one of those guys has to be serving with Gleeson (ok, ok, Elder G) soon in Paraguay - so cool!! :) Welcome back to the world where things are not so real.

you know what your mission is now? find a girl and marry her. wait, no. find an education and obtain it. wait, no. stay firm in the gospel and help other young single adults stay firm as well. wait. maybe it's all of the above. or none. i can't decide.

it was totally awesome watching the xanga progression over the last two years. i can't believe its been that long. that's so so awesome. maybe i can talk to ya sometime :) later days. Virginia.
